We, at the Special Friends Foundation, have been very touched by the number of people giving back to the Foundation. The phrase Special Friends has many meanings, many of which truly signify the mission of The Special Friends Foundation. We established this foundation in order to be a Special Friend to our RTS Special Friends and their families. We are so fortunate to have donors who are our Special Friends and who give so generously to the foundation. And now, we have Special Friends who are both Special Friends as donors and Special Friends as families who love their family member with RTS. We are a community who truly knows the meaning of Special Friends!

The Special Friends Foundation (SFF) is a nonprofit organization established in 1997 by Chris and Carol Garavente. Their son, Louis, is diagnosed with Rubinstein Taybi Syndrome (RTS).
The Special Friends Foundation is dedicated to providing information and resources to individuals with RTS and their families.
The success of the Special Friends Foundation is made possible by the generous donations made by “Special Friends” to the Foundation. This generosity enables the SFF to be a Special Friend, in helping children with RTS and their families to have access to the resources they need.
It is in a loving home, that each child will reach their greatest potential.
